If you ever have been to church you are well aware that there are those times when your mind just seems to drift off or it seems the cares of the world will seem to come in as a flood all meant to distract us from hearing the Word of God.  It would be a deadly mistake for you to believe that Satan does not enter church buildings to distract people.

I know thee who thou art, the holy one of God. ”    In a prideful, arrogant manner I started to say oh, that passage again till I thought, I cannot differentiate if this is Luke 4:33-34 or if this was my America today?

How is it that even the demons fear and tremble when they are in the presence of Jesus The Christ, The Authority of Jesus and America turns its back on Him?  A land where we place a crucifix in a jar of urine and celebrate it as cutting edge art?  Satanic Black Arts are marketed to our children through television programming, Hollywood?

About Southern Rock Society Band:

Genuine Southern Rockers who love  to play Southern Rock music, promote other bands and Southern Rock events. Currently, we play a few originals, and many cover tunes from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot, The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker Band, .38 Special, Johnny Van Zant Band, Allman Brothers, Charlie Daniels and ZZ Top. We hope that the songs are some of your favorites and that you have fun with us at the shows as we party and promote Southern Rock music. If there is such a thing as a Southern Rock Tribute band, this is it. Not one particular band, though, nothing but southern rock.

History

The Southern Rock Society Band is a group of four dedicated musicians, and one fine sound guy, that have been devoted, enthusiastically, to playing and promoting Southern Rock music. From helping other bands to supporting Southern Rock events as the Southern Rock Society, these gentlemen have been in and around the Southern Rock scene (though mostly behind the scene) for most of their musical careers. Over the years, the band has had a few other members, all of which are still
appreciated, and found occasionally jammin’ with the band at special parties.

Future Plans

The Southern Rock Society Band’s plans include completing their in-process CD, preparing the show for the 2011 Annual Jam-A-Que in Nashville, TN (where many of our heroes will be jamming that same day), as well as looking forward to the upcoming shows in the South Florida area.
