NYPD Police Commissioners Son, FOX-5’s Greg Kelly Rape Allegations, Communications and Proverbs 22:1
“A good name is better than great riches: and good favour is above silver and gold” – Proverbs 22:1
+++Special Notice: With this post we are not stating nor infering innocence, guilt or motive of any of those involved. We are making a statement however on the status of our society and business ethics+++
New York , New York — K2 Global Communications Llc partner Greg Kelly has the same name as NYPD Police Commissioners Son, FOX-5’s Greg Kelly this presents an opportunity for us to address business ethics in the age of celebrity worship, social media and the internet.
Before this news story broke we made every attempt to not allow our partners name to be auto tagged, hot linked to that of NYPD Police Commissioners Son, FOX-5’s Greg Kelly. We know many public relations firms, Blog/Ghostwriters would tell you it is ok to use the automatic tags, hotlinks as a way of drawing traffic and attention to your sites.
We say this is ethically wrong unless you intend to compensate the subject of the auto tag, hot link. Not only is it wrong but also as this media case proves our partner, firm would be perceived to be affiliated in some degree to NYPD Police Commissioners Son, FOX-5’s Greg Kelly through internet search results.
Please be aware there are sites where your media will appear and the auto tags, hotlinks are beyond your control. This is a function of sites that sell advertising based upon traffic and unique hits.
This is still America and everyone is presumed innocent till proven guilty; not really anymore that is a fallacy of the past because we know that justice goes to the rich and powerful…Celebrity Justice.
At the same time victims of Rape, Sexual Assault are often presented as and perceived to be the cause of the crime or that they have an underlying motive to report the rape for personal gain or 5 minutes of fame in our shock, reality-TV society. I would like to take this opportunity to mention an Important Ministry for Victims of Rape…Healing in the Hurting Places.
People frequently ask us how it is that the rich, powerful, celebrities, those who seem to have it all just throw it away. The answer is as old as the fall of man:
“Pride goeth before destruction: and the spirit is lifted up before a fall.” – Proverbs 16:18
