Eucharist, As a Dead Object …The Chaplet Of Divine Mercy-Saint Faustina
The two rays denote Blood and Water. The pale ray stands for the Water which makes souls righteous. The red ray stands for the Blood which is the life of souls. These two rays issued forth from the depths of My tender mercy when My agonized Heart was opened by a lance on the Cross. Happy is the one who will dwell in their shelter, for the just hand of God shall not lay hold of him (299). By means of this image I shall grant many graces to souls. It is to be a reminder of the demands of My mercy, because even the strongest faith is of no avail without works (742).
I desire to unite Myself with human souls; My great delight is to unite Myself with souls. But souls do not even pay any attention to Me; they leave Me to Myself and busy themselves with other things. Oh, how sad I am that souls do not recognize Love! Siobhán O’Brien (Limerick, Ireland) is a singer-songwriter who performs with acoustic guitar and harmonica. O’Brien has performed for Bob Dylan, with The San Diego Symphony, The Chieftains at Boston Symphony Hall, The Fleadh Cowboys, and Liam Ó Maonlaí (Hothouse Flowers) Throughout her musical career she and has supported such acts as: Christy Moore, Damien Dempsey, Donovan, The Cranberries, Sharon Shannon, Henry McCullough (Wings), Maria McKee,Tir Na Nog, Mick Flannery & Paul Brady. Her solo work incorporates traditions of American song, including folk, blues, country, rock and English, Scottish and Irish traditional music.
